Yes, they have been pronounced husband and wife, and if they have signed the marriage license properly, and filed it at the courthouse. However, until they consumate the marriage, it can be annulled (voided).

I've never been to a wedding ceremony where the bride and groom did not kiss. Interesting question.

If someone presides over a marriage who is legally able to do so, and a marriage license is signed, then the people are married. No kissing, or even a ceremony has to take place.

The kiss is just a formality. And if the people are going to be together "forever," I don't see why they wouldn't want to.

People get married directly through the courthouse all the time, and those people aren't required to kiss. As long as the marriage license is there, they're considered married. Kiss or not.

I think if they are pronounce man and wife they are married. If they don't consumate the marriage it can be annulled. And that still is a legal procedure. So I would say yes. I know I'd sure like to know why he didn't kiss the bride!

In ancient Rome, if a couple didn't kiss at the end of the ceremony, the marriage wasn't valid. Nowadays, it doesn't matter.

Of course. The marriage is a legal contract and whatever religious aspects the couple believe in.

Some people are shy to show their feelings in public and that's OK
