yea a lil, cuz its taking the lords name in anger. It is an expression of frustration it often replaces things like: "why won't this work!", "listen to me", "understand me", "i can't believe this!". It is a bad way of expressing how upset and shocked u are and also a way of telling others that you are frustrated with them. Like when a person does something and it is being done in the wrong way and therefore wouldn't please christ. As in christianity all actions should be good and please the lord. In a good sense it means doing something for christ, or for the good of the soul. but i doubt he means it like that.

no thats not blasphemy, maybe your daddy is in situation that hardly convince what ever situation he have and it is good that he mention the name of christ for a certain problem it helps a lot to desuade or subdue or to get the calmness if the emotion is hyperbole.

for the sake of truth, the way and life. It isn't plasphemy but an expression with an emphasis to say and do things rightly and clearly.
