I love them too...after 3 years of college though I had to get creative...so what I do from time to time is make them the way your supposed to, then pour out most of the broth...cook up a bag of frozen veggies (just stick it in the microwave while cooking the noodles)...put them on top and add either a little soy sauce or teriyaki sauce...now you have your own fabulous stir-fry!

I'm not sure how good hell really is, but ramen noodles do indeed rock my world.
I know those instant ones are full of sodium and preservatives ... but I don't eat them that often - so I figure I'm doing ok.
Instant - love the chicken.
I tend to make my own sauce. Tamari soy sauce, chilli, some bumbu ... drizzle that over the end noodles and top with fried onions. I frequently add sliced shallots and a raw egg to the serving dish, cover with a lid and let it steam cook for two-three minutes... This is similar to korean hotpot. The egg goes firm in the yolk .. and the white tastes like all that flavoursome noodley broth.
I frequently get fresh noodles (asian supermarket) these are soooooo much better than dried two-minute noodles. And traditional japanese ramen will *really* rock your world.
I'm going to go so far as to say - Better than hell.

I wouldnt exactly say they are the greatest but if you want something cheap and quick and filling they hit the spot. My favorite is the chicken or the pork. Sometimes I thicken the seasoned liquid with a little milk and flour and add the noodles with some mushroooms, or left over veggies or cut up meat. Pretty good for a cheap dinner

You can use them by mixing chicken of other meat with them, and veggies. Put a beef gravy with them over the mix... If this catches on, you can expect these noodles to get expensive..lol

Hmm. I can smell it already.
I usually use the first cup of water to cook it. Rinse then add more hot water. This gets some of the sodium out.
Try the lime shrimp flavor too.

Ramen noodles are really good considering the fact they can be cooked up really fast and they deliver wonderful flavor.

I'm so past that. I used to eat them non stop when I was younger. I've moved on. I can't stand them now. My younger sister loves them. She prefers the Cup Noodles. (You know, the ones you microwave) She won't touch the bag kind.
Well, at least they're cheap.
