Ok, first forget that you really like her... Treat her like friend.
You don't give your age, I will go with you being in High School or close.
Do you drink coffee? Do you have money to buy a coffee (2 coffee's actually)
The opener goes like this:
Hi Sue, do you know if there is a place near here that has a cup of fresh coffee?
Sue says yes.....
Cool, what is the chance they would have 2 fresh cups? One for each of us?
Sue says (chuckle) well, I really don't care for coffee, but I could go there and we could talk....
OR Sue says, I don't drink coffee.
You say:
1. Is now a good time? Or after class? or ... Timing here is not deadly but her willingness to spend some time with you in a comfortable public setting is crucial... she is your friend, so be yourself.... not drooling and all that.
2. You say: I don't drink coffee either, both of you laugh... Then invite her for an ice cream etc.
The object is to get a chance to speak face to face in a public setting with a distraction... coffee to sip, etc.
Offer nothing personal here, unless she expresses some interest. You will already have done that by cleverly inviting her for a brief visit/chat.
Just be nice, no groveling, kissing shoes, drooling is bad too... Just be nice.
She will have to participate in the conversation or you will have a monolog. So take what you know about her and "genuinely" ask or share some thoughts on something.
Most women don't bite, she will be flattered that you are showing interest. Whether or not she is interested in you will be known pretty quickly. If she is not, be nice.....anyway.
No kisses, nothing physical at all.... she is your friend. You have your space, she has hers. As soon as your two spaces overlap... any potential relationship will whither quickly. It is not about physical touching. She is to be treated as your friend. If more is to occur, it will in time. Just be nice, at worst you gain a friend. Over the long term your friends will still be around when all the "relationships" have gone by.
So relax, a cup of coffe, a few laughs, LIGHT coversation it will be a great time,... 20 minutes tops!! Be nice, don't smother her, a few minutes here and a few minutes there over the next few weeks will demonstrate far more than a marathon in the coffee shop first time out. Be nice, be gracious on leaving. Leave with a smile.
No rocket science here.
Be nice.
Invitation to a day time publc place. It does not have to be Starbucks, the coffee is the distraction, not the purpose.
In the mean time PRACTICE listening, really hearing what people say and mean when they speak. She will appeciate an attentive listener.
Enjoy!!

It kindof depends on what the girl is like. Diffrent starting phrases work diffrently betten one person and the next. That is because the girl's personality plays an important factor in what she will respond to.
