Anything is possible but, I'd have my toenail taken off and grow a new one before I'd have that many surgeries. The trick to not getting them is cutting the nail straight across and not clip it off at the corners, the ends, because this causes the toenail to grow under the skin and this gets infected. Then it's hard to get rid of.
Working for a DR. We took toenails off and that wasn't too bad. Then they grew new toenails, cool! But that's too many surgeries for me, don't like that. Tea tree oil is great for irritated nail beds and salt water soaks too.

Yes you can grow them easily. it happens when you trim your toenails to low.
I had my ingrown toenails removed by a podiatrist twice. The first time he cut it out and it grew back, second time i had my regular dr. do it and it did the same and the 3rd time i had my podiatrist do it again for a second time but he used this medicine to keep it from growing back. But he did say there is like a 20% chance for it to grow back but its been about 5 yrs or so and it hasnt happened yet.
So don't believe the people who said they wont grow back because my podiatrist told me there is a chance for it to happen.

When I was young it happened to me constantly. Finally I had to see a foot doctor. He did a surgery in which some of the roots were removed so that my toenails only grow down the center now.

I do my own surgery on them. I cut the nail down all the way to the quick. It hurts like hell but it will help for a few months at a time.
