I am a plussized female.. Yeah I am fat so???

so the saying goes, I am fat and your ugly. I can diet. I have heard all kinds of fat remarks so nothing you can say on here will offfend me. The question is though.. for those people who are also interested in knowing.
Why do men shy away from meeting fat people? I have a yahoo group for new england plus sized adutls, LOTS of men ADORE the Larger Sized female. More men in my group then women. But when We have a get together, no men ever show up? Why is this?

Personally I think that society has brained washed us to believe that the BBW is a sin. Sure being overly over weight is not ideally healthy, but I have seen skinny people die of the same things as fat people. Hypertension, diabetes, Heart attacks, etc. The media has depicted that being a BBW is ultimately ugly and disgusting. Later for the person's personality and brains. Oh I forgot BBW's don't have any of that. That's a bunch of bull.

As for the gentlemen that likes the BBW in your group that don't show up to the get together. It is either that they are not secure in themselves to fight off the ridicule of society. Or they might can't take the rejection of a BBW if she doesn't like him. It could also be that they were just faking it to give some poor BBW an ego stroke.

Ultimately you should be happy with who you are that is the way God made you and he loves you even if society won't except you as you are.

The men can write how they feel on the computer, but when they have to meet face to face, they decline to do so. If they can't tell you face to face what they write on the computer, maybe there should be a change in the groups bylaws. Those members who miss more than three meetings in a calendar year may lose membership privileges. Those who privately adore you must publicly do so as well. They need to get out from behind their computer screens and meet the wonderful women they adore.

I said it once and I'll say it a thousand times. For every type of woman, there's a man who's crazy about her.

The only reason I can see them not showing up for a get together, is that people like those previous answerers, look down upon them. Make them feel like dirt for liking fat women.

Sure, being fat is SOMETIMES unhealthy. But then again, being skinny can be just as destructive as being a little overweight.

and for the record, I do not prefer ANY kind of women. I love a women for her personality. Call me old fashion. Because I can think of a hundred things to call you.

When I graduated from highschool I was kinda heavy...then through the course of my freshman year of college I lost almost 80 pounds (running to class, living on black coffee, working out)...
I have been on both sides of the scale...at size 16, I got attention from guys who liked my ideas and had gotten to know me...now at a size 10, I get attention from guys who like me because of how I look...I think that what kind of attention you are looking for is a bigconsideration....I almost miss the old attention...
Anyhow, the point of my little speel here, guys are looking for different things...to say it has only to do with the weight is to over simplify....And on top of all that the guys in your group maybe just self concious...and alot of guys are bad about group things...

I don't think you know that men prefer meat on their women now-a-days than skinny girls. Maybe you're just going to the wrong places or meeting the wrong men. Maybe its not your weight, its your personality or other problems ....ie, hygene, odor, etc..

I personally rather get with Anna Nicole Smith when she's fat...than Paris Hilton. If you're really desprate, go for a black guy. They'll do anything that moves. Fat and Ugly..no feelings involved.

Real men like a woman with a heart weather she thick or thin. Anyone who thinks differently is narrow minded. It maybe that the men in your group arent as manly as they say. Thats a hard question to answer. But thats my guess.
