Lingshire, Montana, a place which does exist as town anymore. My husband's mother was born there. His grandmother ran the post office and ran the little store. That building is there still. There are no power lines, no weeds. It's full of game with one of the most pristine rivers, the Smith running through. It will be safe for a long time because there are two huge ranches which own thousands of acres. You have to have the owners permission to set foot on the land. It will never be overused or littered with garbage.

The government has no right to keep the public permanently off of our own land. National Parks are being loved to ruin.

There are several beaches on the Olympic peninsula in Washington that are as beautiful as anywhere. You have to hike miles to them, which helps keep them from overuse.
There are rangers whose job is to hike into those beaches everyday and patrol a bit. What a great job!

Yellowstone National Park in Montana...I went out there snowmobiling five years ago, it was the most peaceful, beautiful place I have ever seen. I have been alot of places and nothing even comes close to that. Around every corner or over every hill it was like a whole new world....it was absolutely incredible.

To preserve it people need to start following rules and regulations, and take care of places like that so our great great great grandkids can see just how beautiful it is.

It was a girl I met in college. A natural beauty.

However- over 20 years have passed, and I'm pretty sure that the beauty was not preserved.

Alaska, hiking through Denali national park.

How can this be preserved? Keep stupid people out. Pretty simple, eh?

The problem is that stupid people believe they have the right to go where they want, do what they want and ignore whatever rules/laws they want. If they are caught breaking the rules/laws, then they say "you should have kept me from getting here," which is what they fought to keep you from doing in the first place!

It is like people climbing over several fences, ignoring signs to get closer to an animal, then suing when the animal bites them.

A field in the Laguna Mountains in Cali. The only way to preserve it is to control global warming!
