See if there is a school of dentistry near you, they will do the work , cheaper than any dentist in practice.They are learning dentistry with real Dentists right next to them,watching over them as they learn.

If you have a dental school nearby you should talk to the dean and apply to have orthodontistry done for free, by the students as part of their training. (as well as regular dentistry). the students are carefully monitored and graded by expert up-to-date staff. You can get really good care there.
You should also call family services (or whatever it is called in your area), and enquire where there dentists donate some of their time to help needy families. Usually are usually located in area hospitals.

there is no such thing as an urgent need of orthodontic care. just ask 911, odds are they won't be sending an ambulance to pick your kid up. go to a dental school for reduced cost orthodontics.
