i am trying to find out how much it will cost about to put carpet in an average size room approx13 by 17. i just want middle of the road carpet, but does anyone have a guess?

you are looking at around 150-200 dollars to get it installed professionally. I got some rooms done once and saw ads for 150 per room for mid-grade carpet.

well, 13 by 17 would be around 25 yards, the install will cost you about $5-6 per yard and padding runs between $3 and 6 , the carpet cost is up to you. home depot has cheap stuff for 7 bucks and up...

I had berber installed in my living room which sounds about the same size as yours and it cost me about $175.
