Females get 100 pounds for the first 5 feet and 5 pounds for each additional inch. Add or subtract 10 percent to get a range. Your range is 126 to 156. There are also tables to calculate your BMI which is normal at 23. People at or above their ideal weight who are not overweight live the longest. Congratulations. Get used to the idea that woman put on fat in their hips, men in the trunk.

I depends on your frame and muscle content. I am 5'9" and weigh 150 but I wear a size 6/8. I know girls who are 5'5" and weigh 130 and wear a size 10. Its because I am an athlete and have significantly more muscle than my friends. Muscle weighs more than fat, but takes up 1/4 less space in your body. Your genes also factor into things. If you have a fairly thin frame, then 150 might be a bit heavy, but then again, if you have a medium frame, 150 is around perfect.

No, it is not overweight. Your BMI is 22.8 and frankly I find it quite frightening the amount of incorrect answers here. I'm sorry some people are so incredibly ignorant, they shouldn't be posting if they are so clueless. It's also good that the weight goes to your hips and not your middle, as this is far more healthy. Take care : )

i don't think so. you are tall. search online for BMI calculations and it will tell you, after completing the exercise if you are normal for your height and weight. however, don't believe everything it says. Supposedly Tom Cruise is overweight because not all the factors are added to the equation. it all comes down to if you feel confident in your own skin. if you don't feel overweight, who cares if you are a little. curves are good, and everyone has their own shape. however, if you feel you can make a few improvements, try a loose diet. eat what you want, just eat less of it.

No, actually you're at a great weight. A female 5'8" should be between 132-162 (the higher weight for a person with a large frame). Just stay active and eat healthy, stay away from junk food and sodas and you'll be fine.

If you calculate your bmi which stands for body mass index. you can find out. To calculate this you take your weight in LBS divide (height in inches X height in inches) then X 703... So i took your your weight and height and inserted it in the calculation and it comes to 22.8 which is in normal range. below is the bmi chart to use after you make the calculation
BMI Weight Status
Below 18.5 Underweight
18.5–24.9 Normal
25.0–29.9 Overweight
30.0 and Above Obese

It depends on a few things: your frame (i.e. big-boned), your fitness level, your sex. If you think that it is going to your hips, chances are that you are not muscular and are of slight frame. Otherwise you wouldn't notice it. So, 150 lbs is probably overweight. It is THAT overweight? Don't know. It depends on how healthy you are and feel.

150 is pretty good.
If you don't like the extra bit of cushion, do some exercises.
It's up to you and your blue jeans.
