I am 22 Female and live with my boyfriend in York of whom I have known and loved since I was about 14. We live very happily and have plently of money. My boyfriend (Phill, 21) owns and operates several businesses with his father. They have I think 2 nightclubs, a shipping yard and a Fitness centre and also investments and shares. It's all a bit complicated to me.

Recently I have notices changes in my boyfriend, he seems to have no energy and I also found some pills. I dont know what they are but says (tricyclic antidepressants) on the back. He doesnt know I have found them. He doesnt like talking about any of this and it starts arguments if I bring my concerns up.

He is only 21 and because he has not been handed any of his businesses on a plate and has done a lot of work himself, he refuses to let others do things and instists on dealing with everything when his father is not there. His father is going to retire next year so God only knows what will happen then.

Just make yourself available to him give him lots of encouragement..don't push him. He will come to you when he is ready. Be very reasuring that your there whenever he needs somone to talk to. Don't show shock or anything but support if he tests the water with you...that way he sees that you are safe to talk to. Depression is a mental condition that can be treated he may be ashamed of it. AS for the anti depressants, he maybe taking them because of the strees he has with overly full plate. The poor guy is looking for a heart attack if he doesnt slow down and try to enjoy life. I'm 34 and I have 3 websites. All which I maintain on my own. I also had the problem with not spending time with my mate, however did learn to balance my time in my busy life style. He'll want to do the same if he chooses to see age 22.

You should really talk to him about it. It obvious that he's depressed. Too have alot a money you don't seem too bright. The signs are very clear that he's depressed. Talk to him, see whats going on in his head. You don't want him to hurt himself.
