I first learned to crochet in elementry school, but dropped it and picked it back up about 4-5 yrs. ago. I like the look of crochet and that it's pretty fast, but theres not really alot you can do with it in my oppinion. I taught myself how to knit about 4 months ago and have speedely gone beyond beginer. I love both but I prefer knitting for most things because it's easier to keep track of your stitches especially with those fancy frilly fuzy yarns, I also like that it's easy to shape and design whatever you want when you knit. But when it comes to afghans and *baby blankets* I would rather crochet them. So I prefer knitting for it's versitility and apreciate crochet because the stitches stack fast.

I prefer to crochet, I taught myself out of a book. I tried to teach myself to knit and can't figure it out as quickly as I did crocheting. I would love to learn how to knit because I like the way it looks but I haven't been able to find a book that is easy enough to follow.

I learned how to crochet first, but I prefer to knit. I like how it looks. It drapes better and there are more options for projects with knitting than crochet.

I crochet. I never learned knitting so maybe thats why. Also, with crocheting theres only 1 needle and I think its easier to put down without all the stitches comming out. I'm always putting my crocheting down for a minute to do aomething else.

i both knit and crochet..I actually like to crochet more than knit as it goes faster than knitting does and they even have stitches that mimic the knit stitches. I do like the finished knitted projects because their gage tends to be finer since you're not making knots as you do in crochet.

I like both but prefer crocheting. Crocheting is faster and it is easier to correct mistakes.
