your pug will love wellness puppy food. Trust me I've worked with animals for a long time on this one. Not only is it only all human grade ingredients, with no fillers, but its something that's way healthier for the dogs..............that they love. Surprisingly enough most name brand dog foods (cat too) that you can find in average grocery stores only meet minimum requrirments and arent that good for our pets in the first place. purina pedigree etc are all just low grade productc. You should really look into this if you love your pet. I wouldn't force it. At 10 months, a child should still be getting all their nutrition from breastmilk/formula. Finger foods and solids are really just for fun at this point. If he only likes dry foods that is fine for right now. Let him chase around cherrios for a while and try some different textures later, like in a week or so. Also, corn on the cob is a great food for the texture-picky baby. (Just make sure it isn't too hot when they bite into it.) It lets them think it's a play-thing but they get a little surprise when they bite into it. He'll come around. Just don't make a big deal of it. Parenthood is hard enough already!

Just feed her a good balanced dog food. A healthy dog can go many days without eating, so don't worry. She will eat when she is hungry. A people food only diet is deficient and will eventually lead to serious malnutrition and health problems. Put food down for 15 minutes twice a day. If she doesn't eat it, pick it up and wait for the next meal with no inbetween snacks. It'll work.

Don't offer her anything but dry dog food. She will eventually get hungry enough to where she will eat it. Human food is not good for dogs, especially small breeds, the are likely to get GI upset, or things like pancreatitis, which is very serious. The hard part will be not giving in to her trying to be pitiful, her begging, and crying. You have to be stern. Provide dog food such as Science Diet, Eukaneuba, Nutro, Natural Choice, Iams, Purina or another national brand. Not store brands. She will eventually eat it.

Not to sound harsh or cruel, but if a dog gets hungry enough, it will eat. Just leave the food down, you can add a little bit of pet food gravy to the food, but buy a good brand of food and stick with it. Don't let the dog control the situation because giving into this habit of trying to please your dog will only exchange to other situations and before you know it the dog will be completely controlling the household.

Stop feeding her people food. It's as simple as that. If she won't get people food, she will start eating dog food. She may go a day or two without eating, but she will give in. Be the smarter species and don't let her train you.

Try mixing in some wet dog food with the dry, but please don't feed the crappy dog food. If you look at the first ingredient on the bag, that is usually what there is most of in the food. A lot of the ones you buy in supermarkets have by-products and the ingredients have nothing but fillers. You want something with no by-products to keep your dog healthy. My dog loved Whitefish and Potato from Fromm (by the way, the first ingredient is Whitefish). Some good ones to try are:

There's a food available at pet stores that is breed specific. My chihuahua is the pickiest eater EVER. I got him the Chihuahua specific food and he loved it. It's more expensive, but it worked! But definitely refuse her the people food; she'll never eat anything if she thinks she can hold out for something better.
