Volunteering is a great life experience. I volunteer at the local dog shelter. I manly give the dogs attention and love before they find a forever home.
One Spring break instead of going to the beach I went to Belize and built a house for a family that could barely afford food. It was a great life experience and it made me think about all of the things I take for granted in my life. While we were there I was able to help clean up a old building so it could be turned into a daycare for children that have aids.

I volunteered at an animal shelter for a few months. A couple nights a week I helped by taking dogs for walks while regular staff members then cleaned out the kennels. I also helped with the cats by cleaning out their cages & giving them fresh water and food & cleaning out litter boxes. Is that the kind of info you need?
