In Europe and North America there is freedom of reliugion. In Islam there is only one religion and all others are at best tolerated but usually discriminated against in degrees. Muslims are exhorted, by the Kuran, to convert the world. There are dozens of verses that call for murder and other violent atrocities against all polytheists (i.e. Hindus, many Buddhists), Christians, Jews, atheists and latterly Bahais etc.) The ninth chapter is particularly sanguinous. These verses can be read in their historical context and interpreted as not the bare words suggest. But fundamentalist call such liberal interpretations blasphemy and their authors turncoats. In other words, it's convert to Islam or be killed, or subdued. They are the Jihadists, the suicide bombers. Indeed Sunni and Shia Muslims are slaughtering each other in the dozens, in Baghhdad, daily. And not a ppeep from most Muslim organizations. But publish a cartoon, of their prophet in an obscure Danish newspaper and all hell breaks loose. The Pope made some scholarly comments on a Mediaeval author, complaining about Muslim extremism and 7 churches are burned in Palestine, a nun is murdered in Somalia and the Pope's life is threatened, and shrill screams by more moderate Muslims. If we do not end our oil dependency soon, we will all have to fight for our lives, against, Islam, in a general religious war. Islam is not a religion of peace. Ask the tens of millions of slaughtered Hindus (murdered in the past 500 years. until today.

Muslims are not a thorn in our side, they are a deadly threat.

Only a minute minority can turn the World into shambles. Only 19 + Muslims perpetrated 9/11. 4 people did the London bombings.

A thorn in my side is when my daughter decides she has a boyfriend. A thorn in my side a flat tire. A thorn in my side is when I have to wait in the grocery store check out line behind some one who can't find their wallet, forgot some coupons and wants to trade on item for another of the larger size.
Muslims are not a thorn in my side. Just bunch of religious folk who I don't really agree with.
Terrorists are not a thorn in my side. The want me dead. Wanting me dead does not make them a thorn in my side. That makes them my worst enemy. Wanting to kill me and my children is a good way to make a powerful enemy. Take my ex-wife yes but me and my children? I'm armed, lets go.
you need to lean the difference between a thorn and a mortal enemy.

Most of the Muslims I know are wonderful people. Their belief system is different compared to mine, but that only makes a basis for discussion. I find that most people online who express intolerance for other religions happen to be...white christians. Funny, that.

I like muslims, I just don't like fanatical terrorists- regardless of their faith. Not all Muslims are terrorists.
