What do you mean a person will die because the doctor takes his temperature?

It is very important to tell the doctor if someone has a temperature. If the temperature is higher than normal it could be a medical emergency.
If it is too low, it could be a medical disease. Always take the patient's temperature before you call the doctor.

Placing a rectal thermometer can make the heart slow down, but not kill someone. I know of only one condition, AMI where post wall necrosis bradycardia is worsened by vagal stimulation of the rectum. But all ER docs know, NOT to do a rectal on an MI patient.

Isn't this like a trick question, play on words type of thing. If you "take" someone's temp, they would die because you have to have a body temp within a certain range in order to be alive. I hope that's the case here, otherwise, ?????????????? seriously

I don't think you can kill a person by taking his temperature.
