It depends on what is causing it to be not naturally white in the first place. Yellowish looking eye can be due to liver problem, anti-TB medication or carotenemia. Pinkish eye can be due to inflammation of the conjunctivae (conjunctivitis). Reddish eye may be due to hemorrhage or bleeding of the conjuctival or episcleral vessel as in trauma. Bluish eye can be due to pigmentation or thinning of the of the coat of the eye (sclerae) due to a an eye disease . There are many other conditions that make the eyes not as white as it should be. The most common-- what we call "dirty sclerae", is due to smoking and pollution.

if your trying to get the red out temporarily then place a sliver spoon into the freezer sor about 5 - 10 minutes...take it out and softly press the back(the curved out side) against your eye ball....hold for a minute and repeat....this causes the blood vessles in your eye to receed....but if your eyes are not read but a dusty yellow then you may want to go see your doctor because that is a BAD sign (Jaundice i think it's called).....

Not enough information. Eye strain or tired eyes get bloodshot.

Is it a temporary condition or long standing -- how long. Perhaps a visit to the eye doctor is indicated.

Is it bloodshot, pink, or yellow?
