Matisse's 1908, Bathers with a Turtle - there are grouped figures with gray faces and dark, vacant eyes, with an obvious influence of African and Asian figurative shapes.

once Matisse saw African art, he was then influenced by it for the rest of his life. so, what you need to do is pinpoint when he saw African art first, or pick one of his last paintings.

i think his art was influenced by african art as a whole. You cant really necessarily pin it on one piece
