I am not "normal" but I would make an awesome partner for a good man. I have seen more than my share of hardship, but have learned so much. I like to have fun, am intelligent and so many other things, but I am terrible at this flirting thing. I want love in my life, but feel I really should give up. I am way to different, open and honest, and have no desire to put my best foot forward as I don't like to wate time. What do you do when you can't play the game?

Love sucks.....totally given up on it. Tired of wishing and waiting for "him" to come along. Not even like I'm looking for Mr. Perfect, just Mr.I Love You. Totally sucks! Seems to be in my head like 24/7. Is that my biological clock ticking or what? Wish you luck!! I hope you find someone that you're looking for:)

You sound pretty normal to me. I feel the same way...and after experiencing life I find that most women at some point in their life get to feeling the same way you do.

I, too, am very open and honest. Some say this is a great trait, and some say that I am too honest and too open. All I know is that I can only be who I am, and that includes not playing games.

And I have felt like giving up too. I find that when I do feel this way I just take a break from the whole dating game. There are other things that I can enjoy and make a priority in my life when I have had my fill of trying to have a love life.

I have given up. I got hurt very badly 9 years ago and will be lucky if I can recover in the next 9 years. Thus, I have no skills to build a relationship on since I got so badly ---d up my first attempt. I never had that first successful relationship to build on. It's like an athlete who knows he has great potential if he can just get the right coach and a good season. And, since I am (omg!!!) a nice guy, and actually believe that women, on the whole, deserve to be treated a little better than men, women find me boring. It seems they would prefer to be teated like dirt. Well, fine. I don't need you. I quit.

You are me 20 years ago. What I do is find a man who is independently minded like yourself. Become a friend. Find a time to be alone with him. Suggest sex. Be flexible. Be good and supportive. If you want to find the perfect man you have to become the perfect woman. The life becomes a romantic adventure and you get better and better at pleasing your men.

Stop looking for it and it will find you. You're over-thinking the dating game, usually it just works out on its own but you can't rush it.

Since I cannot figure out what you are asking, perhaps you may want to rewrite the question in a few sentences and make it more understandable.

no I haven't given up on love because I have given up on dieting!

For fu*ck sakes, since I got married I gained 10 pounds..and I got 10 extra grey hairs that I did not need. So you think you got problems, lady...? I got 10 pounds that I need to get rid of, off my big fat butt!!!
