My sister did one day while sitting in the rocking chair at home watching TV with some other family members. She had a grand mal seizure. She was a highschool student at the time. It was all very chaotic, it had never happened before to her or anyone else in the family.

Ambulance took her to a doctor and she was given the option of taking prescribed medication or not. That was her first seizure and the doctor couldn't tell her if she would ever have another seizure. She had her own car at the time and decided to go on the medication because without it, she would not have been allowed to drive her car.

She's in her mid forties now and still on medication, never has had another seizure (naturally), and still driving a car.

Hope this helps. Take care.
