Last week I asked a dying lady in her 90's what was one of her favorite thing in life. She replied, " Tin roof Sundaes." I skipped out of work and went to a local restaurant .I told them the story and they made me a triple sized one and would not take my money. ( Very compassionate.)
I came back to the hospital and the lady laughed and cried .She ate it all and couldn't have been 90lbs. soaken wet.
Sometimes little things mean a lot.

Emotional pain? How about that call from my friend last night at 2 am who got into a fight with his girlfriend and needed a shoulder to cry on?Or are you referring to physical, in which case, my son is presently miserable with allergies and has spent most of today in my lap until his allergy meds kicked in.I think that to some extent I alleviate pain on almost a daily basis.

I do a lot for people in need, buy food gift cards for hungry families, buy clothing, give comfort and love... I like to do for others anonymously and give the glory to God, for it is He who makes it possible.
I stayed with my mother in law for many months while she was battling cancer. Helped her bathe, dress her, prayed for her, read to her, washed her clothes.
Are you in pain? Can someone do something to ease your pain?
God loves you, He loves each of us more than we could ever realize.

Well, I show them from the bible about how soon God will end all suffering, that there is a hope of seeing ppl we have lost in death again, here on earth and that the earth will be transformed into a beautiful paradise again. how there will be no more sickness or death, war, violence and other such badness.
Also that all of this is possible not through any human government but through God's Kingdom w/his son Jesus as ruler.

I gave all the love and support I had to my late husband. I went with him every step that I could. I held him when he cried, I comforted him when he was discouraged and down. I did stupid goofy things to make him laugh when he didn't feel like laughing..
I loved him with all my heart soul body and mind.

Told them the truth about themselves and how they are and how they act. At first it may hurt them, but in the long run, if they are smart enough to think about and accept the truth in what you told them, it will help them have a better life.

I was there for her.
I washed her hair and her feet.
I painted her nails and combed her hair.
I asked God to stop her pain and give it to me instead.
I finally asked why he would let her live like this.
Finally he took her, and I prayed that she was not suffering anymore.
