Calling immigration to report illegal aliens isn't as easy as one would think. Just because you call with a tip doesn't mean that a tactical team from The Bureau of Homeland Security will repel down from a helicopter.
In order for your tip to actually matter you need to come up with some evidence that will prove you're hunch is correct. Usually information about the place of their employment will do the trick. However this is not an anonymous tip line. You will be held responsible for the information given. In some cases the reportee is charged a fee in order to filter out bogus claims.
Before you go about proclaiming yourself the immigration vigilante, know that you will be drastically changing this individual's life and his/her family's life, and negatively affecting the business that employed the illegals. Also know that there is something called Karma, what goes around, comes around.
You don't know what this person's situation is, or his/her employer's situation. Do you want to be the reason of such a devastating change?
Why don't you call your congressman, make a donation to a specific cause, take an active role on the issues. Don't try to micro-manage an issue, especially now when there are going to be major changes occurring to the government's approach to immigration.

If they are here illegally, then they have ALREADY broken the law. Why wait for them to commit more crimes & sponge off of the social systems here? Why wait for them to have kids so they can "anchor" themselves here? The immigration dept would be interested in knowing the whereabouts of those people. If you know, then give them a call. The number is in your local directory or you can find it online.

Look up your local laws to see what it says about illegals renting a home,if they are doing that, it is a start as most stay or move to El Paso. Landlords don't want no negative press-try that first

If they are in the act of crossing you call border patrol, if they are here you call ICE, or even INS. You give them as much info as you can, including how you know they are illegal.

You can look into the Homeland Security Website that will have a link to point you to the right direction. It is not being racist to be against those breaking the law on immigration.
