One thing I noticed as I was moving from 13-18 is that as a young girl you are at times at least tempted to be hypnotised by flattery from older men. You are at such a young age, so trusting of your elders and when one begins to tell you how beautiful you are its easy to fall for that flattery and fall hard. I can remember feeling almost a hypnotised feeling coming over me as I heard these repeated flirty remarks being said to me over and over again. Then add to that the love you have or desire you have for a father figure at that point in your life and yowwwww.... its tough to resist... What can I do as a young person to deal with this ? Is there a better place of safety by being around older women as elders ?

I think many girls fall for older guys for one reason or another and this has become a problem especially with the Internet lately - as young girls fall for older guys without knowing their ages at first... I think you have a bright idea to hang out with other girls and older ladies in order to deal with this for now. Also you might talk to your parents (or at least your mom) about this and see what they have to say. You'd be surprised how smart your parents can be! :)

If you have a healthy relationship with your father and/or other adult males that you know well and see as father figures, then this is waaaaaaay less likely to work. Otherwise what is usually happening is a young girl is being noticed by an older man who she comes to view as a father figure. If you are aware of it and decide you don't want a "daddy" you'll be fine. Frankly I was always repulsed by this and only started dating anyone more than 2 yrs older than me when I was 21 and even then he was 5 yrs older than me. Never fall hard for flattery. If you have to, remove yourself from the situation when you start to get dizzy from all the flattery until you can keep yourself composed. This will save you from a lot of trouble.

You could ensure you always have a chaperone present whenever you're with such a man.

And bear in mind that a man can be charming to a young lady without any intent to pursue the matter beyond setting a good example of the kind of man with whom she would be happy.

The ages you are talking about are the years that lead to reproductive maturity. It is understandable that a girl is going to be more interested in men and in determining who would be a good mate. That's why there are so many teenage pregnancies.

And a good father does serve as an example of a protective and supportive male.

But a girl in this age bracket needs to recognize her own naivety in selecting a mate. She lacks the experience to choose one who is going to be there through thick and thin. She may not think children is her goal (at this age), but certainly it is always a possibility to act as a brake until such time as she is old enough to handle that responsibility if and when it should be required.

It's good to think about who is right for you, but not yet time to be taking the risk of making a child.

And if you truly love someone, you're not going to tempt him into an activity that would cost him his future. There are stiff laws against adult-child relations and for good reasons. If you really love someone, you're willing to wait till you're of legal age to make these decisions without incriminating the one you love.

If you're familiar with hypnosis, then you've no doubt heard of Master Hypnotist Steve G. Jones. His book, "Ultimate Conversational Hypnosis" has been voted as the best hypnosis course ever made. The book is also available in electronic format at: http://www.hypnosistocontrol.net

If you want to get an edge in everyday communication and lead other people towards your goals this is a must read.

Don't buy everything that a man says.
It's just to get you in the sack, girl or to inflate your ego.

If you are pretty and good you know it, without being told by so many men to confirm it.

Older men go for younger girls because they are naiive or inexperienced or they target girls w/ot fathers or whatever the reason may be.

When a guy says something about you, just say :"yeah, I bet you say that to all the girls."
