quite the problem. amid many solutions....you and your husband seem to be reaching the end of your rope....and this is why we have leash laws....check with your dog officer first before planning any sort of action on your own! it also depends on your living situations..do you own or rent? if you rent do you or your neighbor have insurance covering the dogs? this i know is the law in massachsetts! i raised pit bulls numbering 14 at one time...so i was in good standing withmy dog control officer...she knew my animals and vice versa....not all pits are man-eaters...there is something to be said for raising them as pets and loving them fully....yet laws are in place for a reason as they only or mostly only are mean from learning from their trainers or the neglect of their trainers....anyways, if renting, his landlord needs full insurance coverage for these dogs, #1..and # 2, it is also a law that these types of dogs must and i emphasize must; be on a strong enough leash at all times!! that is outside i mean in their yard..# 3, they must be behind a fence tall enough that they will not climb out! i have seen them climb chain link fencing before! believe me they can if they want and a bigger pit is capable of jumping huge heights.....but do not feel bad about contacting your local dog officer on the laws for animals in your district...you will actually be saving the dog and his owner from future greif .....from other people, and your property....i have more to say but this should get you started...again, please do not be shy about finding out your laws regarding animals!

They are considered a nuisance. The best course of action is to contact your police department. If that has been done and nothing happened...contact your local shelter, ASPCA, or Humane Society. They will tag the door once. If the owners don't get the point. When the agency is contacted again the dogs will be removed. The only way they can get the dogs back is to prove they have fenced the yard with regular fence or invisible or installed a kennel for them. If the dogs have threatened a child or bitten they are removed immediately. If they can't be responsible dog owners they don't need them.

Tell your local humane society, there might be a little of animal neglect going on between the owner and his dog. If you do tell your local humane society they might also have a recommendation for you and your neighbors who dislike the dogs. Also don't think bad about the dog's because of their breed. Yes these particular dogs are mean and uncaring but just think about what they live with. I hope that this can help a bit.

Is there any kind of leash law? If so call the dog catcher and have him pick the dogs up. If the owners really care about the dogs he will then have to abide by the laws and keep them in the fence or on a chain. If there isn't a leash law you might just need to allow the local law enforcement know about the situation and what the dogs are doing to your yard.

Don't hurt or hate the dogs they are only doing what their owner has allowed them to do so they don't know that it is wrong. Call your local police department and the owner will be charged with 'dogs at large' and he will have to pay a fine and possibly appear in court before a judge.

Call the local Humane Society - they will come out & put some heat on your neighbors. Take pictures to back up your claims. 1st time, they get a warning - 2nd time, they will usually take the dog from the owners.

I would call the police or animal place . In our little town there is not allowed pits inside the city limit. There has been to many kids bitten and other pets killed. I would call the police or animal place and have t hem deal with it. Sorry pits are nothing to mess around

If you and your neighbors call animal control a few times, not only will the owners have fines that can get pretty costly but they risk having their dogs taken away........I had dogs living by me like that too we had to call animal control twice but they learned.

Call your local animal control number and report them as "animals at large" which means nobody is watching them and they are considered a menace. Your neighbors will probably have to pay a fee to get them released, so do it a couple times and they should get the point.

Ashley is right on. Call animal control and complain, especially since you have already taken the first step and alerted the owner of his dogs on the loose.
