Of course you KNOW that the story of Noah was just about the yearly floods that happened in the Fertile Crescent. This particular year they were going to be worse, as observed by Noah when looking at the amount of snow that was to melt in the Ural mountains to the north.

well he was to bring two of every clean animal into the ark. guess they feel into that catagory. or almost every boat has vermin that hitich a free ride in them. and there was a forty day wait before the Ark began to float on the rising waters after loading.
