Stick to your guns, Mom. You already know this girl she wants to stay the night with is bad news. I tell my kids all the time, they don't have to like me but they do have to mind me.
Be strong!!!
Good luck!

You are not wrong. It seems you have enough good reason to say no.
I know it is really difficult to be at odds with her. It does literally feel like a struggle but hang in there.
Make it clear to her that it is a decision that is your job as her mother to make. Some decisions are negotiable but there are some that are not. She needs to recognize that.
When and if she settles down, let her know how you feel, how much she means to you. Her happiness is important to you but so is her safety. Maybe you two could plan something else special or make it up to her in some other way.
It isn't just the overnight thing but the hole age/grade connection anyway. Your daughter definitely needs some other opportunities for new friendships.

You are right, and you don't owe your daughter an explanation. Does your daughter know this girl uses drugs? Why would a 15 year-old invite a 12 year-old to a sleep over? I wouldn't beat her butt over this, but you have to tell her you have spoken and that's it. You didn't stutter and no means no. I might give her a warning about pestering you; you hear her loud and clear, she hears you and is choosing to ignore you.

I have a friend who sounds just like that girl. when I was around her I became immature started acting like her, talking like her, even dressing like her. During summer vacation we didn't talk much. I gained back my own personality and matured allot.she wanted to come over a few days after school started up again. I soon realized that she wasn't the best person to hang out with. She kept on saying she has problems with her mom, the cops and her boyfriend when she was only 15. She was still acting very very immature it was like hagging out with my 5 year old nephew.
Let her hang out with her for a little but still keep a good eye on her still. Then try and separate them for a month or so then reunite them if she acts anything like the girl I mentioned shes not going to want to hang out with her any more.

she is too young to be with a 15 year old girl plus the 15 year old girl use drugs. don't let her go because the stuff that 15 year old girl is doing will affect your 12year old.and if the 15 year old get caught with drugs and your daughter is there in the house with her the cops will get them both.stand your ground

You are not wrong. Your daughter is 12 years old.. she should not be hanging out with 15 year olds.. especially ones that do drugs etc etc..
You are the parent... tell her she is not allowed to hang out with her.

Well i'm near your daughter's age and you probably think i will agree with her, well yes and no. I think that your daughter is growing up and does want to experience certain parts of life for herself, but if you feel that this girl could get your daughter caught up in the wrong type of lifestlye then you should try to prevent it. Many Teens/Preteens will say " Mom, she's just my friend, nothings going to happen" i know from experience that things are always possible to happen and at her age, she's probably easily influenced, even if she's says she's not (don't get me wrong i'm not trying to speak badly about your daughter) if you have a bad feeling about this then try to prevent it, remember, a mothers instinct is always right. But in the end it's all up to you, if you think your daughter can handle how she's influenced then maybe you should let her go, but if you think the 15 year old girl could possibly get into your child's head then put a stop to it. overall just go with what you think is best, everyone always says, " that can't happen to my child" and honestly it may not, but as being teen myself and knowing how much pressure there is to result in changing your apperance as a person, just know that anything is possible. i'm not telling you to say "yes" or to say "no" just go with instinct.Hope i helped out and good luck with your decision!

Your daughter is twelve.....you say no and that's the end of it.
She can complain up to a point and then she should quiet or be punished.
Hitting her only shows you're also out of control.

Stick to your guns mom. Good job. No don't let her that girl is trouble. You don't want her in that. If she gets to mouthy then ground her. I would not hit her that shows you are weak/.
