The truth is that it probably wouldn't change. Half of the country is repuglican, half the country is democrat and the other half are independent. When we go to the polls we represent the ones that don't but I believe that if everybody turned out to vote then the results would not change much. Not to say that the more to vote the merrier, and the more convinced I would be that the election was acurate.

Judy Ramsey (left) and Jerry Pippin (right), a local web broadcaster, are shown at the Petition Headquarters for the citizens petition drive to impanel a Muskogee County grand jury to investigate, report on and recommend prosecution of President Bush and Vice President Cheney for criminal acts. They are co-chairs of the drive. The headquarters is located at Shadow Wood Mall, 401 W. Broadway, #107, Muskogee. Only Muskogee County registered voters can sign the petition. Oklahoma is one of only two states in the U.S. that give citizens the right to petition for a grand jury investigation as part of their state constitution.

Welfare giveaways would probably bankrupt us. Military would have high pay, but no weapons or means to protect the country. The theory of equal rights would disolve, and become one of the rights of the have (do) nots. The cost of American goods would continue to skyrocket, as the quality decreased. The work week would be reduced, maybe even eliminated! Just wait for your check in the mail and sit on the corner listening to the radio with your bottle in a paper sack.
Actually, go to the slums of any large city, and see for yourself what the future would be.

Voting is not a right, it is a privilege. Generally, anyone telling you it is a right is either a corrupt, greedy politician or someone who has been brainwashed by corrupt, greedy politicians (most of the population of the United States falls into the latter category).

It would swing the course of U.S history. If you look at statistics, if one college from Florida voted in the 2004 Election, things would have turned up differently today.

I think that there would be more honesty in politics. I also think federal judges would have to be elected to office in (mythical) this tend of a surge of voters. I beleive this would force elected officials to be more open to the public, and more responsible to their jobs.
I beleive that within a few years the Public Federal Elected officials would be put on a decent retirement salary, and health benefit more resembling ours. No more $15,000 a year retirement for Congressmen, and a gurantee of 7 million for their wives in the event of the congressmans death.
I beleive Federal Employment figure for Federal Civil Service people would see a decrease. There would be an increase in the salaries of the men and women who serve our Country in the Military.
I think we would see less of the hard core right or left religious groups or their leaders in politics as people began to take charge of our government and realized they were part of the problem, not the cure.
i do not think the gay rights community would be excluded, but certainly not have the power they enjoy today in our courts, and public offices.
I do not think the origanizations like the NAACP could exist as the racist origanization it is with their (we serve ****** only policy) policy of extracting funds from companies with threats of lawsuits, and boycotts. I think an all black Miss America Contest on the Airways would be as illegal in this time period as an all White Miss America would be today.
I do not think the Lawyers of that times would enjoy the Lawsuit banaza they enjoy now.
I do not think it would take 10 to 20 years to execute people like Ted Bundy for crimes like killing a 12 year old girl which he denied even knowing her(but he was driving her moms car, using her moms credit cards while lawyers cried out at the injustice of acusing this wonderful man of such a crime).I think that once criminals knew they were going to fry crime would began to fall.
I think sometime in the future if people exercised their right to vote we would see federal prisons for the rich and congressmen ect would not be open vacation spots like the one in Pensicola Florida. Or was. here people conviced of Federal of State Crimes with powerful friends or money can walk about on a golf course with caddies, order in food, videos, big screen tvs, fanstastis meals served like the best motels would, and closed door visits with wives or girlfriends while Military personel's receive so little money they have to exist on welfare cards to help feed even a small family while risking their lives. In a real world military personel would be paid for the job, and convicted federal/state criminals would live like the criminals they are.
I think Drug Research Companies may have to start researching for cures as researchers like Salk did, not just for expensive treatment. Companies would no longer be able to table drugs which cured or made life so comfortable on the extremely ill they could cut back on treatments.
I think doctors, of all kinds would have to be more accountable for their practices, and medical fruad such as medicare or medicaid would land a lot more of them in jail. I don't think a dentist could charge you $25,000 for a set of implants and get by with telling you most of the cost was material (about 2 oz) and the $20,000 car you drove there had 4000 lb of material in it.
I don't think we would see tax payers funding ball parks which never get paid back while ball players made thousands of dollars an hour in actual playing time.
I think the farmers of our country would be told they have to get into the technical age, and pick their own crops or get out of the business, and 11 million Mexicans can go home, and make their own country a Democracy, that way they want have to dislike us so much.. I think about 25 million illegals would have to leave and crossing the border to have a baby just to get citizenship would no longer work. I think the Preacher on the Mexican side of the border giving aid to illegals should and would be arrested as the criminal he is.
I think English would be our language and it would be as illegal in Miami Florida to deny a person employment because they could not speak Spainish as it to deny a person the same job because they can not speak English.
It's an unending list of things voting can do to right a lot of wrongs.
Great question,
