For the end of daylight savings time. When you "fall back" an hour, it is actually a 25 hour day. Since they market themselves as 24/7, it would be false advertising to be open 25/7 on that day. They need the locks to close for that one hour per year.

Holidays, probably. Most places aren't open on Christmas, even if they are normally 24/7.

They may close on holidays, for inventory or if it's robbed they need to close the crime scene.

Besides, many buildings aren't always used for one thing. They locks may be there from before, and may need to be there if the building is bought and used for something else.

When they go to the back to stock or go to the bathroom, they sometimes lock the door so no one comes in to steal anything.
