i have a friend that is really interested in someone that she used to know when she was a teenager. they just recently started talking again and everything seemed to be going well but when he found out she was over weight he did not want anything else to do with her. she is a wonderful person. she is not badlooking for someone who is overweight. how does this person move on when she is so upset over this?

If he doesn't acknowledge her anymore just because she is overweight then he is a shallow person. Who would want to have a person in their life who is so shallow? What kind of a friend would he really be anyway? If he can't get past that part of her and like her for who she is then he isn't worth her time, and is especially not worth her tears.

Sometimes, you have to move forward in your life and realize that someone who really cares is out there and will love you for the type of body you have. I think it is important to excercise and be in shape, but it should be done for oneself not to please anyone else. Tell your friend that she needs to work on her life and the love will come eventually! Hope this helps!

the best way to get over someone is to find someone else, or to realize just how cool being on your own can be. independence is a lovely thing.
