Try power bars...they're healthy, cheap, and filling.

Good Luck

High protien is good for weight lifting. Try dark leafy greens for that. Also, if you have the urge to smoke and are afraid to gain the weight, try baby carrots, carry a bag with you at all times. It may be awkward to just whip out a carrot in the middle of a meeting, but it would be more of a turn off to light one up. Just explain if you feel like you need to, or put a sign up at your desk or on your front door that you are attempting to quit smoking.

You can make almost anything in a healthy way, try roasting or baking meats, a rotissourri is great. Don't use so much of the salts or butters, margerines and oils. You can use onions, garlic, peppers, lemons and that kind of stuff to flavor your foods. Also use more natural oils like olive oils. People say its high in fat, but is isnt as bad for you as the processed stuff. Another way to make sure your meats are flavorful is to get a wet or dry season syringe. They are great! Good luck!

first off, congrats on the quitting and best of luck to you.

second off, haha to the person above. power/protein bars are some of most artificial stuff out there. they usually have a ton of sugars or sugar alcohols (not easily broken down by your body). try to eat normal food as much as possible and rely on supplements for time-tight situations.

anyways, lots of healthy food is cheap. eggs for one. go buy yourself a yolk seperator so you can take in a lot of protein without the fat and cholesterol. chicken is good too. and of course there's milk. turns out the lesser the fat content, the cheaper the milk is (probably since no one wants it). there's also large packs of oatmeal and lots of whole wheat breads out there these days. i just go to wal-mart and try to get the "great value" brand to save money. they have good tasing oatmeal and yogurt. hope that helps!
