Ok, I just talked to someone I haven't talked with in a while and he asks me to check out his commercial. And I reply I love it!!!!!! You are really going to be famous someday!!!! And then he goes, luv ya--he's moving to a city near me in october and im going to have to visit. So is this a date when I do meet him again or just as friends to see each again, cause I only want to be friends with him for now, to get to know him a little better. I have known him for about 4 years but i havent seen or heard from him in about 4. Sorry this is soo long but just asking, Thanks for everyone who answers!! =)

Don't jump to conclusions, love can mean a lot of different things and there are many different kinds of love including friendship love and romantic love. Whether he meant the former or the latter, you will just have to wait and see.

Just a date in between friends. I dont tihnk he'd go for you if he hadn't seen you in 4 years! You'll have to see when you meet how he acts.

Just because a guy says luv ya doesn't mean he loves you! And even if he does, tell him you are not ready if he tries anything! And if he doesn't understand, he's not the right guy anyway!

No it not a date. He may/may not be into you. But if it was a date he would have come out and said so. Your just friends form the sound of it.
I always tell my guy friends I lov them. It doesn't mean I am in love with them.

i dont think he has any feelings for you as of now..just liek you dont either. he probably just said that because he hasnt seen you and he is really excited! so i dont think it would be a date...just see how it goes but if he does any thing that signals that he wants to be more than just friends tell him that u think its better for you guys to get to know eachother a little bit more

The key words in his response (if you wrote it correctly in your question) is "luv ya".
When a guy loves you and wants to be with you, he says Love.....not luv ya. Hell, I say "luv ya" to all my friends.
My guess is that he just wants to be friends for now.

just relax and do what comes naturally. When he gets in town be his same ole friend. If he decides to settle down I'm sure he will let u be the first to know.
