I posted a ton of links on your other question, plus not only do I have an Autistic son, I have a lot of friends with children who have SID. The weighted vests are a good therapy choice for a lot of parent with SID children.

God Luck...I hope I helped!!!

Target the room with sensory items that your child likes. If he/she is into tactile sensory, get plush rugs, soft comfortors, etc. For lighting, using christmas lights (cheaper than purchasing speciality items). Lava lamps are also good - Wal-Mart and Spencers sell all types of lava lamps, fiber optic lights and "goo" lamps.

Have your child help you decide what should be in the room - there are also hammocks that are made like a swing that you can put in the room if your child likes vestibular motion. Good Luck!

The Therapy Shoppe has good low cost sensory items that you can purchase - I think it's therapyshoppe.com

Check out this site http://www.integrationscatalog.com/...
They have many wonderful things for children with sensory integration disorder. I have purchased many things from them safely.

Somethings going funny with their website now. Order a free catalog. It has so much more than their website. You can view it online https://www.schoolspecialtyonline.net/onlineCatalog/onlineCatalogDisplay.jsp?URLID=10040&catalogCode=I106&view=02&seqPageNum=0001
