Medically, marijuana ( or cannabis) has the following uses:
*appetite stimulant
*pain reliever for certain illnesses such as cancer, AIDS and other diseases.
*relieve glaucoma and certain neurological illnesses such as epilepsy, migraine and bipolar disorder.
*relieve nausea for chemotherapy patients.

A synthetic version of the major active chemical in marijuana THC, is available in many countries in the form of a pill as the prescription drug dronabinol (Marinol) is used to reduce arterial blockages.

*A sublingual spray derived from its extract has also been approved for treatment of multiple sclerosis in Canada as the prescription drug Sativex - this drug may now be legally imported into the United Kingdom and Spain on prescription.

Yes medical marijuana should be legal!! It was demonized during the 1920's, refer to refer madness! the world is upside down and progressively gets worse as time passes. Did you know that the FDA "food and drug administration" classifies anything that can treat or cure a disease or malady, is a drug! Under these rules and definitions, WATER can be classified as a drug along with food and air!! When will it stop? probably never in the nanny state that has become our government! On a side note, deaths attributed to alcohol far exceed ANY death attributed to marijuana! current statistics to date show NO deaths from the use of marijuana.. Which one should be illegal???? It helps AIDS and Cancer patients with their nausea and appetites, and also helps with glaucoma. It works well for an upset stomach, too. I know someone who has GI issues and when he has attacks he puffs some and it eases his condition so he isn't running into the bathroom every 5 minutes.
