The traditional way is to use the phrase, "May I have this dance"? You can also ask, "May I have the next dance"? Another good one, "Will you honour me with the next dance"? "May I have the pleasure of your company on the dance floor"? "May I have the pleasure of your company"?
One that worked for me upon occasion, "I am trying to learn to dance. Will you allow me the pleasure of your company? Maybe you could show me some steps."

Walk up too her and say something like would you like too dance w/ me or may I have pleasure of asking you to dance?
Worked on me. lol think most girls are suckers for romantic pick up lines.
