Look closely at American money! You will see that 'the -all-seeing-eye' is depicted there.
This is an Illuminati symbol, and absolute proof of their existence.
They consist of a group of very rich people, like the Rockefellers and the Rothschilds, and the Warburgs.
These are the people who own the Federal Reserve, which is a private company.
By tracing their family ties, you can find that they own most banks, and through them the Federal Reserve, most oil companies, most governments, most drug companies, most armaments companies, control education and research, and in fact touch most aspects of our social lives.
There are many people, like a previous answerer, who live in denial of course, but just a little research reveals the extent of their power and control. Their objective is to take absolute control of the whole world, remove aver half of the inhabitants, and reduce the remainder to slavery.
Other names attached to the same group are Bilderburgers, New World Order, Fourth Reich and Globalists. See below for more details.

The Illuminati idea or concept was kept alive in the 1920s by no less than Henry Ford (with a hateful anti-Semitic thrust). In the three following decades it was perpetuated by certain men like Gerald Winrod and Myron Fagin. However, the premise did not become popular and widely accepted until the 1960s generation with the rising rejection of the government and authority and especially the widespread distribution of John Birch Society materials and the literature of the anti-Zionist Liberty Lobby. This really created a mainstreaming of the Illuminati mirage and an accepting of an illusive, all-seeing “big brother.” The details of the takeover now were secondary, even meaningless, and only the idea seemed to matter.

People have been speculating about the illuminati for centuries....I have to admit it is kinda plausible. The founding of America went rather more smoothly that it could have, and a lotof people contribute that to Washington (Adam Weishaupt), Jefferson, Franklin and others belonging to the Freemasons (long believed to be a cover for the Illuminati). The illuminati symbols found on our money, the Great Seal (covered with illuminati symbols), many aspects of the Declaration of Independence and other early American writings which echoed theories found in FreeMason and illuminati documents....all point to the early and continuing presence of the illuminati through out American history. Interest in secret societies was rampant in the early 20th century, and interest in the illuminati and freemasons was particularly strong in the 60s and 70s.
I personally enjoyed the card game released in the 1990s a whole lot, my favorite card being the Orbital Mind Control Lasers. Sure could use a few of those right now.

Like a lot of theories, it presents a lot of interesting possibilities and uncovers facts that are compelling. Today's Illuminati is a very elite society. They meet globally once a year and not everyone can be a member no matter who your daddy is or how much you make. I believe they go back to the Knights Templar (spelling?) and a friary before that but the lines are vague. There is the belief that the missing or I should say excluded books of the Bible were very informative of this matter plus the friary's logs added content from a more common and day to day workings. Much of it's symbolism such as the eye and disjointed pyramid go back to the early Egyptian days and it has many splinter organizations.

It is not just theory. There are in fact illuminati and they have been interviewed on national T.V. Although they say that there are no secret dealings and that all the illuminati means is ministers to the world. I , for one, tend to think they have their fingers in lots of pies that they more than likely should not have and I doubt they have any remote closeness to God.

The Illuminati theory is one angle of the Freemasons and Knights Templar "historical conspiracy" basket of possibilities. Since we have had almost no luck coming to a satisfying conclusion regarding the "true solution" of the relatively recent assassination of President Kennedy in 1963, it seems highly unlikely that circumstances preceding that event by hundreds of years will ever be revealed and confirmed in their entirety and to everyone's satisfaction.

The notion that there are people so inhumanly clever that they are able to secretly control EVERYTHING without a single leak, screw-up, or mistake is the stuff of paranoid fantasy. Real world intelligence agencies are nowhere near as clever as we'd like to believe them to be, despite the image created by our entertainment. It's nonsense.

The illuminati were destroyed hundreds of years ago. It is only since Angels and Demons and the Da Vinci Code that many of these conspiracy theories have popped up.

I think that what you seem to be talking about is a paranoid delusion that ignores facts. Or you play a card game that I agree is really, really, really fun.
