What birthday gift should i get for a 12 year old girl? she doesnt want a girtcard or money, but she doesnt know what she wants? most girls her age dont play with toys though so will someone help me?

I have a 12 year old who just had a birthday, so maybe I can help you out. They are in what I like to call the "tween stage"...caught between wanting to be a child and wanting to be a grown up. It is kind of sucky for them AND us LOL I think that you would be safe with something cool like an MP3 player (we just got her one at Kmart for less than 18.00), CD's, light colored make up and clear lip gloss. Earrings if her ears are peirced..we have a cool store here called The Icing in the Mall that is always carrying a 10 items for 5 bucks specail...shoes are always a safe bet if you know her well enough, and last but not least, if you are truly stumped then maybe what you could do is print out two really cool coupons that you design yourself on the computer and have one be for a dinner at a place of her choice, and the other be for her to go shopping with you in for a certain amount depending on your budget or what you had in mind on what you were going to spend (my in laws just did that for my daughter and she about died over it LOL)...I hope that these ideas helped and that it will make it a bit easier for you...happy birthday to her, and good luck to you!!

My daughter is "Ten" going on 12!
So perhaps I can be of some help, If she's a "girlie girl" perfume is a great gift. Brittany spears, J-LO,Hillary Duff etc...are very popular with the younger generation. Jewelry is also nice. (Charm bracelet)
If she's not a 'girlie girl" find out her favorite singers ,band, etc...and get her a few Cd's along with a CD holder.
A journal makes a great gift for girls her age as well, they can write and express their thoughts. It makes great keep sake.

i think i can help (i am thirteen)
okay if shes into the girly stuff then get her some lipgloss or something
jewelery:: earrings (the dangling ones) or a cute necklace
if she likes movies the get her a new dvd...here are some of my favorites: "Mean Girls" and "Sleepover"
Does she have an iPod or an mp3?..then get her a prepaid card for iTunes
if you know her size then get her a cool shirt (make sure it is actually cool and not dorky!) a good place to go would be American Eagle
Does she ahve play station or xBox? then get her a new game?
Some cool computer games right now are :: "The Sims" and "Roller Coaster Tycoon"
I personally would probably go with the lipglosses

Oh gosh, get her some woman/child gifts--maybe one of those beauty kits, a nice razor with shaving cream and lotion, bubble bath, or take her to get a manicure and pedicure and go to a movie she wants to see. I don't know how much money you had in mind to spend, but maybe some electronic gadget. Or a nice CD or DVD or a cheap DVD player.

www.breezybeachwear.com has GREAT gifts for that age range! I think she'd probably like anything from there. The Pirate items in the surf accessories are really popular! Especially the keychain.

CD's, movies, clothes, purses, makeup, hair appt., you didn't really say if she was a girly girl or more of a tom boy. But if she really isn't giving you any ideas, I'd say gift card. You can't squeeze any more milk from a dry cow.

My sister is 12 and she likes things like....
mp3 players
jewelry
stuff from bath and body works...like smelly lotions and stuff
I go to claires and get her random pink fluffy stuff ha
a camera...she is startng to like taking pictures of her and her friends!!! at target right now they have this digital camera/camcoder and it is only like $60...ask someone there for help they are made specifically for teenagers
and they have a plain digital camera for even cheaper
movie tickets
you could also ask her if there are any movies or cds out that she likes right now!

PS do NOT and i repeat do NOT get her stuff from limited too she is too old for it!!! my sister and her friends would die if they got stuff from limited too...that is for like 10 and younger!

something that fits her personality, is she into sports, music? most girls love stuff from bath and body works. my 12 year old loves music so Cd's, mp3 player, cool accessories for her bed room. how about take her for a girls day out, movies get your nails done......have fun be creative

What is she interested in? get her something like a gift certificet or if she has a favorite band get her one of thier CDS. Or If she has a favorie movie that she dosn't have on DVD or VHS get her that.
