Just go up and start talking to him. Depends what you want to ask him. Say hi, speak about things he might like or talk about whats around you both and then just ask.

Just about anyone will tell you "just ask" in one form or another. I'd say don't ask him. You are gonna be so nervous that you'll stutter and that's the last thing you want................
