I'm all for it. After all, since god won't cure disease, then men have to.

A. god says when two or more ask in his name, the blind will see, the lame will walk, etc.

B. men say that if god directly answered prayers that would take away free-will

C. god also says that when people gather in his name and ask him to reveal himself he will do it. (wouldn't tthat take away free-will?)

So,...god says he can cure disease, and yet never does? you mean to tell me there are not two christians anywhere in the world, honestly praying for an end to cancer?

What is the deal, does god do miracles or not??

I don't know anyone who is against all stem cell research. But many of us are against embryonic stem cell research because of how the stem cells are obtained. In that case, human embryos have to be destroyed to get the stem cells. That is the only stem cell research many people oppose.
Interestingly, not ONE single cure has resulted from the use of embryonic stem cells so far, while there are hundreds of successful uses of adult stem cells. And for them, nothing has to be killed.

Well I am for using bone marrow and other bodily resources to cure diseases. But I'm against using aborted babies for that purpose. Abortion is pure evil in my opinion and just because some fluosy decided to go around having sex does not entitle her to infant murder. But anyhow embryonic stem cell research isn't that effective anyway look up how many people have been cured by that form of research. Pretty much none.
God bless you on your search for the truth.

I know, it is ridiculous. The most pathetic argument is that embryonic stem-cell research has not shown nearly as much progress as adult stem-cell research. I mean, don't these people stop to think that perhaps the cause of this is the fact that adult stem-cell research enjoys federal funding, while embryonic does not, causing one to be much more desirable to researchers and resulting in more success? They just believe whatever they are spoon-fed by the media.

Most people do not have a problem with stem cell research. The Pope himself has encouraged this research on adult stem cells and placenta and cord blood stem cells. The objection is when they use aborted babies. This encourages the abortion mills because they make alot of money from the bodies of the babies.

Not against stem cell research only when you have to kill a baby to do it... I understand that there are cells that can be used from an Umbilical cord Great lets do it... But if you have to kill a baby.. I think that I am entitled to my beliefs because location does not get the luxury of defining life...= outside of the birth canal a baby inside impregnated tissue...That is a definition given by a selfish person for convenience...

stem cell research is just another means of increasing the number of abortions in this country to futher line the pockets of those who care about one thing and that is profit, not human life. to take a life to fill your pockets is wrong. We have laws to protect us against murder and rape and incest and theft. And yet we encourage abortion and fight to make stem cell research legal. Now if we made stem cell research legal, why not take those who are in mental wards nursing homes etc. that is what it will eventually become.
Along with cloning it is not natural, and is unhealthy to kill to save. While I understand that many lives were lost for the development of current medicines, entitled? all are entitled to have the best medical care available.

There is a difference between being anti-stem cell research and being anti-embryonic stem cell research...and more recently anti-living embryonic stem cell research.

I've been a wheelchair for thirty years, the only way that I'll ever walk again is if they manage to repair spinal cords through stem cell research! People who are against stem cell research need to get into a automobile accident tonight and damage their spinal cord, they'll change their opinion fast! What kind of a sick individual would be against SCR, not allowing me to ever walk again!

The controversy is about U.S. stem-cell research. There's plenty of research going on in other countries. I'm surprised the NeoCons are letting all those potential profits slip right out of their hands! LOL

the other scientific breakthrough's didn't involve the death of another human.
I am against stem cell research for several reasons, things that no one brings up..
do you know that after having a cell replacement you are on anti-rejection drugs for your entire life? which breaks down other organs such as your liver.

hardly seems worth it.
