I am married with no children. I want to go out of town for a few days by myself so that I can relax. Do you think that this is wrong?

I usually take all of my vacations with my husband but he has used up all of his vacation time. I really want to go away. I would like to have at least 2 or 3 days where I can just relax and not have to cook or clean. It is not because I am trying to get away from my husband.

Hell no its not wrong. Everybody needs their space. I take off 4 weeks a year and spend 2 of them with the wife doing something, usually spend one in the garage doing my thing, and for the last I do whatever the hell I feel like doing.

It's only wrong if you make it wrong. In my relationship I prefer to vacation with my partner, even if it's for a few days....if I need to relax I take a hot bath, go shopping, or go to the spa....Is he being a jerk? Why do you feel you need to go out of town to relax? sounds like there's more to you getting away than relaxing...Before I met my partner, the last guy I was with i would have the same feelings, I wanted to get away to see if I truly loved him.............before you do this make sure your husband is okay with it, keep in mind your husband may want to do the same thing some day and would you be okay with it?

What kind of marriage do you have? Maybe you should spend the money on a marriage counsel instead. I could never imagine having a vacation without my husband. Does he like the idea? If so you two need to think things through now before you plan on involving children.

Yes, I think its wrong. Why dont you want to go with your husband ? That tells me something is wrong. I would never be ok with my guy going away without me. Besides that its too dangerous these days for a women to go away on her own. I'm single and thought about going away by myself to have some me time but got too scared worrying about what some men might have in mind seeing a women traveling alone.

No, that's fine. Everyone needs time to themselves once in a while. You and your spouse will probably enjoy missing one another. When you're with someone else, you don't have as much time to spend on things that you enjoy. Maybe both of you can catch up on some of that stuff when you go on your vacation.

Yes. Your usband vowed his love to you and you for him. If you can't spend time with him on a vacation, you need to ask yourself why you need to take time away from him and ask yourself at the same time if there are problems that you both might not be addressing. If there are problems, I suggest that you fix them before having children, or divorce before children are brought into the picture also.

No it's not wrong to want space to yourself, but what does your husband think of you wanting to go on a vacation by yourself?

Is this all you want to do, go away and relax? Would you mind if your hubby wanted the same? Guess this is up to you.

Absolutely not. I have friends who have done that, and sometimes they come back learning new things about themselves. Alone time is healthy. He just has to understand it's something that you want to do.
