This isn't an issue for your landlord unless they're damaging his roof. It seems that the offense wasn't sex, it was that they woke you up. This isn't really any different than if they were doing anything else loud at 2:30am. If it's the first offense, give them a break. If it keeps happening, speak with them about it. Only if you can't resolve it then should you take it further, but always try to address a situation directly with those involved first as it can help avoid hard feelings later.

I would try to talk to your neighbors first if you know them and are comfortable with it. Otherwise I'd tell your landlord that they woke you up at 2:35 am with loud noises coming from your roof. If pressed then I'd tell the landlord that they were having loud sex, but only as a last resort. A noise complaint is usually enough.

what would telling your landlord do? you'd just sound like a "tattletale" and would probably be ingnored and ridiculed. if it bothers you, then start looking for another place to live. if that's not an option for you, then you have to just learn to accept the situation. they aren't really breaking any rules. they're just enjoying a part of their home, which, incidentally, is your home too. the only other thing you could do, if they do it again, is go up to the roof the next time you hear them up there, and ask them to either move to another part of the roof so you're not disturbed or let you join in. hope this helped!

You should tell your landlord. It's a bad influence on your kids if they see your neighbors having sex ...

There's nothing your landlord can do after the fact. These people want to know they've been seen.
Instead, call the police next time. Say there are strange noises outside and you think someone might be breaking in.

Unless they were damaging your roofing shingles, then forget it.
Next time though, call the cops to say someone is up to no good on your roof.

You could just return the favor a make whoopee so loud that the hear it. Otherwise, if it happens again, just tell your landlord or sleep with the radio on.

Don't tell your landlord. Go to your neighbors and ask if you can join them.

Next time, call the cops when it's happening. Your landlord cant do anything.
Now that its over, you need to speak to them and say I heard you, my kid heard you, we all heard you. Next time, please be more considerate of others. Hopefully that will be embarassing enough.

No. You know you enjoyed listening to it....didn't you!! And if it was that bothersome you would have called the police right on the spot. I wish my neighbors were that cool.
