If the government can't support religeon in government buildings, why do you have to swear on a bible in court? Why does it say "in god we trust" everywhere? Why do the kids have to pledge alliegiance with "one nation under god"? Athieism has got a long way to go to overthrow Christianity in this country where church and state are supposedly separate. I wish that people with the good of this country in mind would keep god out of it. Then maybe we'd stop pissing off the Taliban so much.

Atheism is not a religion just like theism isn't.
Christianity= religion that believes in a god= theist
LeVayan Satanism= religion that believes in no gods= atheist

A building being secular does not mean it supports atheism. Assuming you are a Christian, you shouldn't be complaining since everyone has to swear an oath to the Bible in court and God is put in the pledge of allegiance. Not so secular, huh?

Edit: There's nothing against religion or any deities in the government buildings so it doesn't support atheism.

I think you are being ridiculous. You cannot use the absence of something to declare that the government is supporting something else. Are they supposed to say, "This wall has been intentionally left blank" or should there be a sign that says, "We do not support any religions, including atheism.. and thats if you consider it to be a religion.."

A lack of something cannot be construed as supporting anything. People can be involved in a religion and be atheists, as atheism is a religious belief, but atheism in itself is not a religion, just as trinitarianism is not a religion, although it is part of the Catholic religion.

Religion is based on belief, atheism is a non-belief, a negative, so cannot be a religion. Of course, they believe in a mysterious big bang from nothing that created everything, so yeah, they can start a big bang religion, but they'd have to change their title to big bangers.

No, it does not support it. Perhaps it is to keep from having to make room for all opinions to be visually represented and to keep from being sued because one is overlooked or because one claims it is a recognized religion. Additionally, it is possible that some "religions" have visuals that others would find offensive.
