do i have to add water to the evaporated milk? I havent ever used evaporated milk and not sure how to do that! Does any one know! OH I am using it for cornbread! If that helps?

there arent any directions on the can either thats why I am askin if anyone knows..lol

You have to mix it 50-50. Or equal amounts of each. If you try to drink it, it will not taste the same but if you are using it for cooking it will turn out fine.

I have used evaporated milk in plenty of things.

I believe the ratio is half and half meaning that if you add an equal amount of water you have the same as regular whole milk to use in your cooking.

I believe its one for one. I don't think you add water.
I seem to recall my grandmother using it exactly like milk, which was convenient for her cause milk went bad faster in her "ice box" than in our refrigerators

use it half water and ev milk works the same as regluar milk
