Hiccups are caused by having air somewhere above the diaphram. I'm not sure how it gets there but I have two solutions that have never failed me. 1) Take a big deep breath and swallow it. 2) Drink a glass of water through a straw sitting upside down on the couch. Do this by placing the glass on the floor and hanging your head over the couch. Good Luck!

I don't know. But if you drink a cup of water upside down it will get rid of it.
