Yes. I admit that love is hard to find, but it is out there. Yes, some might be selfish enough to take what they can, but not everyone is like that. There are still some decent people out there. You just have to know who to really trust and be careful with the choices you make. Real love can be tough to define. It's in different forms for some people. It has the same meaning... it's the same word... but love comes in different forms and it's hard to find a definite answer on what it truly is.
To me... love is something that you have to fully enjoy. It sure doesn't last long... but, you take what you can from it and be happy with what you get, no matter what the consequence. Speaking from experience... love goes by in a blur and you really can't fully enjoy it and understand what it is until you lose it. Then you kind of regret not saying the things that you should've said, the things you should've done, and the things you could've done to prevent love from disappearing. There's this lasting pain that it leaves you with and it's unbearable... but those are the consequences of it. Somehow, it'll ease up and it'd be bearable then. It's tough... but that's just how it is.

The whole world isn't like that. There are only a few bad apples. Love is a commitment to another person to care for them and be faithful to them. There is real love out there because I have it and I know that I'm not the only one.

My boyfriend and I are truly in love. We have been going out for almost a year and we respect each other. Love is not just something you do sometimes. Its a choice to love someone, even if they aren't being very lovable at the moment. Love to me and my boyfriend is mutual respect and listening to each other. If we disagree with something one of us does, we will talk about it privately and reach a conclusion. No judgements, no arguing or fighting, just two people that love each other, listening and taking a proactive role in the relationship. It takes two to tango.

I think real love is great, but to have it you have to love yourself first. Be happy with yourself, don't look for others to make you happy or complete you. If you live with a perpetual cloud over your head, no one can love you because they can't get near you. Love to me is mutual respect, concern and affection with no motive other than to see the other person happy.

I'm one of the lucky ones - been living it for 18 happy years.
It would take too long to explain what love is on this board, and too many here would have no understanding.

Yes, it is out there. Love to me is when someone puts your needs and feelings before their own.

to me true love is when you love someone only because of God.
When you know that a certain guy/girl loved God more than anything else and you loved him/her for that reason, then it's true love.
And yes it exists (though it's rare in this cruel world)
