I mean God finally struck Abraham in the hip to get him to give up and ever since then when people get old one of the things that happens all the time is they fall and break their hip. How coincidental is that?

It was Jacob that wrestled with God.

The whole point of the lesson is not about the nerve that was damaged during the battle, it was about submission and how hard it is for us to truely submit to God the way God needs us to submit.

The bone of the hip was not broken, it was the nerve that was damaged.

Once we submit, no matter how battered and bruised we are, God still gives us wonderful blessings.

It wasn't Abraham that God wrestled with and struck on the hip. Read the bible if you are going to talk about it. It was Jacob!

Abraham wouldn't let go, because he wanted the blessings from God. When God touched his hip. That was a covenant that Abraham never forgot, and neither did we. When we break a hip it is not the same thing.

Do you really believe God wrestled Abraham? Although, if he was busy wrestling Abraham, that explains certain other tragedies in the Old Testament, doesn't it. I bet he looked cute in his little wrestling outfit.
