I hope I am not one of them you want to tell off! :-) Well, I can understand your feelings. Sometimes I get really irritated and do tell people off. Sometimes that is needed. Being a Christian does not mean being nice all the time. Some people need a good stern verbal dose of reality.
We are creatures of habit and I have some bad ones of my own. Telling someone off can, actually, be considered an act of charity to set them strait (this is not refering to homosexuals!). The thing to remember is to be civilized in your discourse with other people. Stay as factual as possible without getting emotional about it.
I hope this helps and glad to have you with us.

It all takes time to become the Christian we hope to be. We each have our own indvidual path to take and sometimes what would seem stupid to some is in reality just simply where that Christian is at at the moment. If they are being stupid just pray that God will open their eyes or show you why they are thinking that way. Tolerance is the strength that you could ask God to give to you. God bless you and I thank God for your conversion!

there are a lot of people here who bash no matter what the faith or lack there of. Just remember, the standard is Jesus, no other Christians. We are here to love not judge. And I would tell them off! In love. They do not realize the massive harm that they are doing.

A whole five day old Christian who is already backsliding? Sounds like you did not make the transition.

Don't let people get to you. New believers are always tested and that goes for the believers that have been for year upon year. Remember God is with you and He will get you through anything, whether good or bad. He is always there, so rely on Him for your needs, rely on Him for your worries or your patience with people.
We will always be tested, pray and ask God for His strength and guidance.

Remember what Jesus said about judging others: "Take the beam out of your own eye before noticing the spec in your neighbor's eye."
Also:"Let he that is without sin cast the 1st stone."
None of us are without sin, but the ones that you think are with more sin deserve even more of an effort on your part to enlighten them to the real meaning of Jesus' teachings.
Hmmm. Your conversion story is like St. Paul's but without the being struck by lightning part!

Your convictions cannot be swinging from side to side according to what other people on your side are doing. You are what you are because of deeper reasons. And you can simply be very critical of your fellow believers or unbelievers, without making yourself less of a believer/an unbeliever for that. I am an unbeliever, and I may be critical of believers' ideas. But I'm more critical of some other unbelievers' attitudes.
