When people hear the word negative calorie foods they immediately say No. However when you look further into it, all a negative calorie food is, is a food that takes more calories to digest the food then the amount of calories that the food has.
For example:
Lets' say that you added 3 apples a day to your diet. The 3 apples would have a total of 195 or about 65 calories each. Now to digest these 3 apples it takes on an average of 300 calories.
That is 105 calories more than the amount of calories from the apples. Now where does the 105 calories come from? Fat that is already in your body.
Other "negative calories" foods are:
peaches, pears, califlower, green beams, cabbage, mangoes, squash, figs, cherries, lemons limes and oranges.

No,they don't. You need calories to run your body. You won't lose weight unless you eat some food with them in it.
Ask your doctor what your ideal weight would be for your height. He can then suggest foods which are high in nutrition, but low in calories. Celery is mostly water, not much nutrition, but it will help fill you up when you eat your meals.

Definitely not. Celery and strawberries eg, take more calories to digest, utilise and excrete than they have in them, therefore, by eating these foods alone would certainly result in weight loss. However, potatoes, advocados, and other carbohydrate-saturated fruit and veg are non-negative calories and, consumed in vast amounts could still result in weight-gain.

there is no such thing as a negative calorie. all vegetables have calories, its just that some vegies use more calories to digest them than they contain. most crucifors are similar

Both are good for you, each fruit/vegetable has different vitamins. And so as more variety, as better. Vegetables have generally less sugar than fruits.
