"There's no such place honey, so you go find yourself a good lover who treats you right, and know that your mother loves you for who you are and always will."

There are lots of ways to read the Bible, and many people also feel like the Greek and Hebrew cultures need to be taken into account while reading the passages that focus on homosexual sex.
The book, "The Children Are Free: Reexamining the Biblical Evidence on Same-Sex Relationships" by Tyler Connoley & Jeff Miner can be of some help dealing with the issues of seeing the Bible in both modern day context and the society in which it was written.
Basically, the authors document that the Bible had nothing to say about committed same-sex relationships. They also make a striking case that Jesus may have healed the lover of a Roman centurion.
There's lots of reason to believe that responsible sexuality is what the Bible calls for. Remember, much of the sexuality of the Biblical era we would consider totally illegal in this day and age.

I wouldn't say anything much but I would give them proof. The Bible kind of proof. Gen. 1:16 God destroyed two cities for homosexual life styles. Lev. 20:13, If any man lie with a man as one lies with a woman, both have done a detestable thing and must be punished by death. Also see Rom. 1:18, 26. Rev. 20:14 Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. There is a real God who one day will punish real people for the sins that they committed.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16)
WHOEVER includes all who believe and there is NOTHING anyone can do to take away salvation. It is a promise from God. God does not rank sin. Lying is just as gross as homosexuality to a Holy God Who cannot look on sin. Men put the gradients on sin. Your son or daughter must forgive themselves by realizing how forgiving God is.

i would say that i dont agree with your lifestyle or even understand it but nothing can ever change my love for you no matter what it is and my arms and heart are always open to my precious children and i will try my best to not make you uncomfortable or treat you different but you must help me with this and understand when i falter in this because we are family and must strive together and hurt together and always stay a family .and only god knows the human mind and heart and judges not based on earthly laws and beliefs but whats in your mind and heart and he knows at point of sin or act if this is a choice or if youre born this way he has final say and only he can judge this and you must speak with him in effort to learn his will concerning this and he will guide your heart and thoughts in proper direction to make your life full .god isnt human and im so glad for that because just because we see sin as black and white he sees many different colors and he loves an homosexual just as much as a saint so why cant we do same here

I would say "if you feel this way then God has not left you to your own devices. What you feel is the prompting and drawing of the Holy Spirit, saying' "I love you and it's not too late to change"'
Sometimes it is too late to change but if you ask for forgiveness and stay as much as possible in a celibate state,I think you'll make it"
Homosexuality is no more of a sin than any other.Everything can be forgiven if you are sincere except rejecting Christ(the Catholics say there are Venial sins and Mortal sins but that just ain't in the Bible).

I believe that once you pass on you do not go to heaven or hell since there is no real place like that. You move on in the universe, if you put out a vibration of good into the universe you move on into a higher plain. But if the vibration was not that good then you move backward to learn what you did wrong. So as long as there thoughts and deed where pure and just then there is nothing to worry about.

I would tell them to take their head out from their *** and read some modern books instead of the close minded rubbish they obviously have been reading, being gay wont send them to hell any more than missing church on a Sunday

From our website http://www.couragerc.org you will learn about homosexuality and chastity. By developing an interior life of chastity, which is the universal call to all Christians, one can move beyond the confines of the homosexual identity to a more complete one in Christ.
In Courage you will get to know men and women who share in your concerns, meeting them online through our Listservs, or in person at Chapter Meetings, Conferences, Days of Recollection, and Retreats.
Come see what we are about. Browse our pages. Get to know our community. You'll be glad you did! (you dont have to be Catholic)
Remind your son or daughter that the average life span of homosexuals is half of that of heterosexuals, and they have a right to live as much as anybody else.

I'd tell them to learn to love God with all of their heart, their mind, and soul and to love their neighbors as themselves. God hates all sin equally. He's also known for being merciful. In the end, God will judge them, but it's not for anyone walking this planet to decide how that judgement will fall. God loves us all, even at our worst.

it seems like they have to either accept the belief of their current religion that homosexuality is a sin and the punishment is hell (so either get ready for hell or stop practicing homosexuality) or, they have to find an alternate religion that accepts homosexuality, of which there are plenty out there. the thing is to feel comfortable with yourself and your religion, or lack of religion. if they can't do that, there isn't much you can do to make them feel better.
