I am a college freshman looking to keep off the freshman 15. I don't drink, so that won't be a problem for me. I have some running experience, but I need some suggestions on what to eat and how to change up my workout routine. Thanks!

I can't afford any outside weight loss help; my meals are already paid for.

Well, during your question I noticed that you said you were looking to keep off the freshman 15. Which, would seem to indicate, that at this time you have NOT put on the weight.
So, at this point I would say that the only thing different about your HS and college routine would be the fact that dinners might be altered without the home cooking.
I would suggest sticking to the routine, and mimicking the home cooked meals as much as possible with your current pre-paid meal plan.
The biggest culpret of the 'freshman 15' is usually related to the increase in beer, other alchohol, over-eating (sometimes a depression factor in the cold hard reality changes that happen going from the easier HS life to college)...and of course, fast food (very high in trans fat) as well as higher amounts of carbs.
(less money for groceries usually results in more macaroni, starchy foods etc...because they are more filling).
Stick to eating the way you did at home. Eat healthy portions and avoid fried/fast foods in excess and you should have no problem. Of course, going back to some running or adding some cardio routine to your days can only help with both your general health and a clearer mind for studies!

:)

Since your meals are already paid for, just make healthy choices like salads, lean meat such as chicken, fish, nothing fried. Also if you don't have healthy options, eat smaller portions of the food. This is really the best advice for a college student. Also continue to stay active by running often. Usually freshman gain weight due to other things such as eating late after the cafeteria has closed and/or beginning to take birth control pills that throw the hormones out of whack. Stay healthy in every way. Study alot and get your rest.

the best way of course would be the most convenient. This would be walking at least an hour everyday, stay off sugar(if you finish a whole medium bag of sugar for a semster not good at all), keep milk to the minimum, use protein shakes, egg whites. Remember, if you need to tone, you definitely have to lift weights and lift light but more repititions.

Cook at home - don't eat out. You will be forced to make healthier food choices if you eat at home. Eat a lot of fruits when you feel like a snack at school etc. Have a small breakfast with protein in it so you don't get hungry by afternoon classes. Have a light healthy lunch, ie. salad with chicken pieces, fruit juice, and an apple. Finally - Eat whatever you want for dinner - just not too much of it.

Exercise and eat a healthy diet of fruits, veggies, lean meats. Healthy snacks. Drink lots of water - at least 8 glasses a day.
Carry baby carrots, granola bars, apples etc in your backpack to ward off the munchies. Eat salads for lunches. Stay away from starches, breads, all junk foods.'

You should stay of of soda beverages for a year or so, because that will lose fat. Eat healthy no junk food! If you have to eat junk food watch the calories. Run as much a spossible, do crunches (to lose stomach fat), pushups (to get in shape), and lastly drink lots of water. Water will not put fat on you! I promise.
