That's great! Some of our cats come into our lives by this "method" and they seem predestined to join us in our life's journey.

I am not getting new cats at this stage of my life and I love the names:
Melissa - from the Bible meaning "lioness of God"
Zariel - "lion princess", probably Hebrew in origin

I may be getting a new male cat who is 15. He is named "Boy" after the cartoonist Boykin who had a cat named that in his comic strip. I will name him Alexander and call him Zandy Boy.

My grandson had a wonderful, orange cat, named RED-DOG, Jonathan loved this cat for years and when he lost him was heartbroken, Jonathan is 27 now and still a cat lover, his fiancee also acts a lot like a kitten at times.

When I first get a kitten, i wait to name him/her for a few days. Sometimes you will find a name just from watching behavior. Some great names I have come across: Pithagorus, Munoncippio, Cleopatra, Socrates, and King Farook.

We have a male named Parker, a female named Tara and one of the kittens from her litter named Dyson. The other kittens from her litter were named "Raven", "Bailey", "Nash" which was switched to "Luke", and "Butterball".

I had a habit for giving my cats human names when I was younger like Timmy, Michael and had one named Prince Charming:)

I like that name Mary Elizabeth! I have four...one is named Bob for Bob Dylan...another is Autumn because I found her outside my office one day on the first day of Autumn and she has all these beautiful fall colors in her coat and my two kittens are Inky and Smokey...I had another kitten who sadly did not make it and it was named Dinky...I initally named them Inky, Dinky, Doo (cause Smokey was a lil free with the poo early on...LOL) but later renamed her.
